Transaction Account
Guarantee Program

Desert Commercial Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, which has been extended through December 31, 2010 all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.

Robert Calder

ROBIN CALDER
Vice President and Branch Manager Palm Desert Branch

A Southern California native, Mr. Calder has over 30 years managerial experience in banking as an officer of various large and small commercial banks. Mr. Calder joined Desert Commercial Bank in December 2006 coming from Wells Fargo Bank where he managed their main office in San Bernardino.

He has worked and lived in the desert since 1969, and has been active in the Chamber of Commerce and Palm Desert Rotary Club. Mr. Calder has a business degree from USC and a law degree from the University of West Los Angeles. Mr. Calder's expertise allows him to effectively interface with homeowners associations, public utilities, and corporations.


 


Nancy Thornburg 

NANCY THORNBURG
Vice President and Branch Manager El Centro Branch

A native of the Imperial Valley, Ms. Thornburg has more than 30 years of banking experience in managerial positions with Sun Community Federal Credit Union and Rabobank. Ms. Thornburg joined Desert Commercial Bank to open the El Centro Branch in January 2006. She has been very active in the community having served as President of the El Centro Chamber of Commerce and President of the El Centro Rotary Club. She continues to give back to the community serving on the Board of Directors for the El Centro Chamber of Commerce and as an active member of the El Centro Rotary Club. Ms. Thornburg also serves on the finance committee for the Imperial Valley Community Foundation.
