Transaction Account
Guarantee Program

Desert Commercial Bank is participating in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, which has been extended through December 31, 2010 all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.

Internet Privacy Policy

INTRODUCTION

Desert Commercial Bank understands the importance of protecting the confidentiality of your personal information. When customers place their business with the Bank the expectation is that the Bank will honor their trust with a commitment to privacy. At the same time Desert Commercial Bank wants to offer the variety of financial products and services that the customer needs and which are consistent with the communities that the Bank serves.

Desert Commercial Bank regards confidentiality and protection of customer information as a fundamental responsibility and has adopted this “Privacy Policy” to prevent misuse of our customers’ non-public personal information.

BANK INFORMATION MANAGEMENT PRACTICES

The privacy notice applies to individuals who apply for or obtain a financial product or service from Desert Commercial Bank primarily for personal, family or household purposes, or the individual’s legal representative. The information collected is only for specific business purposes. The bank tells the consumer and customer the reasons for collecting the information and how, and whether, it will be disclosed outside the bank. This information is conveyed when a relationship is initiated and annually in the Privacy Notice to all customers.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect nonpublic customer information from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms;
  • Information about your transactions with us or others; and
  • Information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency.

We may share all of the information we collect as described above, as permitted by law.

Our procedures include steps for responding to customer requests to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner and processes to update information and remove old information if necessary.

Desert Commercial Bank limits access to customers' confidential and private information to employees with legitimate business reasons for knowing such information.   • Responding to enforcement actions or examinations arising from responsible government entities.
    Providing data to a consumer-reporting agency in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
    Otherwise complying with applicable federal or state laws and regulations.

These cookies tie certain information we may track, such as the date and time of access, the activities in which the visitor engages while on our website, the Internet Service Provider's address, the web browser used and other information.

Desert Commercial Bank reminds customers of their responsibility to safeguard login IDs and passwords. In addition, commercial customers should carefully screen those employees to whom user IDs and passwords are granted.

Desert Commercial Bank utilizes encryption, firewall, router, third party verification procedures and other sophisticated security software and hardware to help prevent unauthorized eavesdropping of and access to customers' confidential and private information. However, no one can guarantee that all of these measures will prevent unauthorized access to our processing system and the data therein.

Desert Commercial Bank utilizes up-to-date computer virus protection software to help prevent the spread of computer viruses. However, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to prevent computer viruses from being spread to those who access our website.

Desert Commercial Bank reminds all of our customers that links in the institution's website may be to websites not under our control. These websites will not necessarily comply with Desert Commercial Bank's "Privacy Policy" and security standards.
