Tony Swartz

TONY SWARTZ
President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Swartz brings more than four decades of banking experience in community banking in California, Arizona, Wyoming and Alaska. Mr. Swartz has served as the Chief Operating Officer for Valley Independent Bank (later acquired by Rabobank). Mr. Swartz has also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of a de novo bank, Fresno First Bank, and was a founding director for Fresno First Bank. Mr. Swartz's background also includes Chief Executive Officer of Frontier State Bank in Arizona.
 


Roberta Cull 

ROBERTA CULL
Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer

Bringing over 32 years of banking experience to her new post - including more than 16 in the Coachella Valley - Ms. Cull oversees service operations at Desert Commercial Bank. She most recently served as Senior Auditor for Valley Independent Bank (since acquired by Rabobank), where she supervised branch and loan center operational audits, as well as internal investigations. Prior to that, the Niagara Community College graduate held customer service management positions for First Interstate Bank and Home Savings of America. Ms. Cull gives back to the community through her role as a Board member for Valley Crime Stoppers.


Harry Gooding 

HARRY GOODING
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Gooding joined Desert Commercial Bank in October of 2008. Mr. Gooding previously worked as part of the senior management team at the former Valley Independent Bank, which was another community bank in Southern California prior to its absorption by the Dutch-based institution Rabobank. Mr. Gooding spent 14 years at Valley Independent Bank before retiring as Chief Financial Officer in 2005. In total, Mr. Gooding has over 32 years of financial expertise in corporate financial management, business and budget planning, as well as mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Gooding graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.A. in Accounting, before going on to Rutgers University and earning a M.B.A. He also served in the United States Navy, in which he received an Honorable Discharge as a Lieutenant in 1972 and continued his service to the country through the U.S. Naval Reserve until 1991, when he retired as Captain.


Jack Brittain 

JACK BRITTAIN, JR.
Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer

Jack Brittain, Jr. joined Desert Commercial Bank in November of 2010 and has been appointed as EVP and Chief Credit Officer.  Mr. Brittain previously held this position at DCB from December 2007 to December 2008.  Mr. Brittain brings over 30 years of professional banking experience and has held the position of Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer for over 20 years in Southern California.  Mr. Brittain was instrumental in growing a local community bank from $27 million to over $2.5 billion through a combination of organic loan products, mergers and acquisitions.  Mr. Brittain managed over 100 employees in 8 production offices in California, Arizona and Nevada producing high quality commercial, SBA, construction, residential and agricultural loans and loan syndications.  Mr. Brittain is a highly organized, motivated, energetic executive with diverse experience in all areas of credit risk and management.  Mr. Brittain attended University of Toronto, Pacific Coast Banking School and is a real estate broker in California.
